Court View – Restriction of STVRs is Legal
Courts often cite the California Sixth District Court of Appeal case of Ewing v City of Carmel-by-the-Sea in upholding a city’s right to prohibit STVRs in residential-zoned areas. In fact, some municipal ordinances even quote the case in their ordinances, such as Rancho Mirage.
