Palm Desert Extends Moratorium
Palm Desert acted to extend a moratorium on new STVR licenses in areas not included under the original 2017 ban. They will continue to issue permits to homes in HOAs that allow these businesses. As with other city councils, including Rancho Mirage and Cathedral City, the vote was unanimous. During the moratorium the city plans to develop an ordinance phasing out STVRs in the PR (planned residential) areas. The city previously phased out STVRs in R-1 and R-2 zones. More HERE
