Local Government
Cathedral City – Main Website
Everything about our local government is laid out on this site.
Also see the companion site https://www.discovercathedralcity.com which contains information about events and other news items about the city.
Contacting Our Elected Councilors
We elect five council members, one for each district. Districts 3,4 and 5 will elect new representatives in November, 2022. In November 2024, new representatives will be elected for districts 1 and 2. But EVERY councilmember represents ALL Cathedral City voters. You can contact one or more of them with your questions and concerns.

What district do I vote in?
The map on the city website will tell you which district you are in. Click the map next to each district to see a bigger, more detailed map.

Meetings – when and where, agendas, video
All city meetings – council, commissions etc – are public. You can watch online, attend in person (when COVID restrictions are lifted) and you have the right to speak at a meeting. You have two chances to speak:
- You can comment on concerns NOT on the agenda for three minutes at the start of a meeting.
- You can comment on EACH agenda item for three minutes.
To access meeting videos, agendas and documents, see http://cathedralcityca.iqm2.com/Citizens/
