Cat. City Council Moves to Protect Ordinance
Business owners who lost their battle to keep STVRs in residential zones of the city took up a petition aimed at overturning the ordinance. On October 14, 2020, they gave the petition, signed by over 4,000 people, to the city clerk. Over the past few weeks there has been a lot of criticism in social media about the way the professional signature gatherers persuaded members of the public to sign, including allegations of lying, and bait and switch.
Cathedral City council members voted unanimously to maintain the status quo in the city, by extending a moratorium on new permits in non-HOA areas, while the legal process required to deal with the petition is worked out. More HERE
